#2 ~ New Resign Policy Effective
June 1, 2012:
All resigns will be from the 10th through
the 16th of each calendar month.
Resign can be done by email, fax, mail or in person
on those days only. If the resign is not received in the Referral
Office by the 16th of the month, the applicants on any Book(s) will
"roll off" the list(s). The applicant will have
to sign in person and re-register on the out of work book(s).

Tuesday, May 1, 2012 Local 86 will be using the following Drug Testing

235-1510 ext. #1 to set up an appointment.
In
order to make this change a smooth transition please read the following
to see where you fit in and what you will need to do:

If you are not on the "Drug Free List" and wish to be
please contact Tamie at (585) 235-1510 ext #1 so that she can make
an appointment for you.

If you are currently working for a Drug Free Contractor you must
remain on the "Drug Free List". If you are working
for a Drug Free Contractor and NOT on the
list you must contact Tamie immediately.

If you are currently on the "Drug Free List" and not working
for a Drug Free Contractor you will remain on the list.

If you wish to be removed from the "Drug Free List" you
can do so in writing by:

the first Constitution of the I.B.E.W., drafted November 21, 1891
The
objects of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers
are: To organize all workers in the entire electrical industry
in the United states and Canada, including all those in public utilities
and electrical manufacturing, into local unions; To promote reasonable
methods of work; To cultivate feelings of friendship among those
of our industry; To settle all disputes between employers and employees
by arbitration (if possible); To assist each other in sickness or
distress; To secure employment; To reduce the hours of daily labor;
To secure adequate pay for our work; To seek a higher and higher
standard of living; To seek security for the individual; And, by
legal and proper means, to elevate the moral, intellectual, and
social conditions of our members, their families, and dependents,
in the interest of a higher standard of citizenship.
