NEXT UNION MEETING:

The next Union Meeting will be a Notified meeting held on Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at 5:30 p.m. in the Meeting Hall at 2300 E. River Rd.  This meeting will be notified for the purpose to discuss and vote on the  69th and 70th Amendments to the Pension Fund.  For the 69th Amendment there is a proposal to the death benefit.  For the 70th Amendment there is a proposal to increase the pension credit.  A credit will increase from $47.00 per credit to $48.00 per credit.  It is also proposed that retirees will receive a $20.00 per month increase.

This is also notice that the Union Meeting on Wednesday, April 14th, at 5:30 p.m., will be a Notified Meeting.  This meeting will be notified for the purpose of dispersal of the 2010 rate increase.

3.03A IMPLEMENTATION

The Local 86 Executive Board has implemented 3.03A as of January 4, 2010.  You should have received a letter regarding this implementation.  If you have not or if you have any questions please call Ron Freida at (585) 235-1510.

Local 86 pocket calendars are now available at the Hall for pick-up.

SUNSHINE CLUB MEMBERSHIP:

Don't forget to renew your membership to the Sunshine Club for 2010.  If you are interested in becoming a member of the Sunshine CLub the cost is $6.00 for the year.

OSHA 10 Card:

Please make sure you have your OSHA 10 card!  Anyone needing an OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 card can call Tamie at (585) 235-1510 ext. 1 for class locations.

Please Note:

If you are working and will be taking more than two (2) weeks off, you MUST notify the Vacation Committee.

Resign Information:

You may resign in person, by email, fax or by mail on the date or before thirty (30) days. This MUST be done every thirty (30) days.  If you have not resigned within the thirty (30) days you will roll off the books.

 

NEBF PensionTurning 62? Please call Laurie at the Union Office a full six months before you reach age 62 to start processing your pension application (585) 235-1510.

The temporary amendment to the 40 hour rule by NEBF is still in place.  If you have any questions please contact Laurie.

              

Drug Testing

Drug testing can be done at Occupational Onsite Inc., 1600 Lyell Ave., Suite C.  Please call (585) 723-3891 for same day appointments.

Executive Board Meetings: The Local 86 Executive Board meetings are held on the second Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. and the fourth Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. of each month.

I.B.E.W. Emblem on Obituaries

The Union will pick up the cost of the I.B.E.W. emblem on the Obituaries of members. Please contact the Union Office for Reimbursement.

Kodak Safety Training – please note time change

Employment at Kodak requires a current Kodak Safety card and an OSHA card that shows you have completed these Safety Courses. You must have these cards in your possession while working on Kodak property. Please note – Kodak is offering this training on Wednesday only, starting at 7:00 a.m., in Building 28 Theater on the Ridge. You must also ave your 10 hour OSHA card with you in order to ake the class. If you need the 10 hour OSHA course or Asbestos Training (also required at Xerox) you may contact the JATC office at 235-5050 for the next available course offering. If you have lost your OSHA card contact the JATC office.
